What We're Doing

Connecting Communities: We are developing an interactive Google Map to link permaculture enthusiasts, food forest growers, and eco/intentional villages, enabling them to find and collaborate with each other easily.
Showcasing Initiatives: This map will feature detailed profiles of various projects, showcasing their practices, goals, and achievements, thus fostering knowledge sharing and inspiration within the sustainable living community.
Resource Sharing: By highlighting what each project offers and needs, the map will facilitate resource exchange, support, and partnerships, helping communities to thrive and expand their impact.

How We're Doing It

Building an Interactive Google Map: We’re developing a comprehensive Google Map filled with relevant information, making it easy for those interested to locate and visit various permaculture, food forest, and eco or intentional village projects.
Curating Key Questions: We've crafted a set of essential questions to help users find your products, courses, and programs, as well as identify skilled individuals who can provide assistance.
Fostering a Supportive Community: We're doing this within a growing network of like-minded individuals, fostering mutual support and accountability, and reducing the isolation that many in our niche may experience.

The Requirements

Accuracy is Key: Make sure all the information you provide is accurate and up-to-date to ensure the map’s reliability and usefulness.

The Investment

We've realized this will take a significant portion of our "free" time and might involve several team members if there's enough interest. Based on your feedback on a few social media posts I wrote to see if anyone else was frustrated about not knowing who is nearby, it seems to be popular.

I've made this a paid feature for both participants and visitors. One reason, besides the time we're investing, is to enhance security with a paywall to deter pesky bots. The fee is $27 for 12 months, including three updates during the year for any new developments—please not three times a month, though, ahah! This rate is valid until the date above and will increase afterward.

Despite the small contribution requested, believe me, it involves more work than it seems. You need to decide if you want to be visible. For those who do, I believe it will help us discover people nearby we might never have known existed. That, perhaps, is worth it. For those who are looking to connect on a specific theme, it's finally the answer to hours of scrambling .
